Audition Due Date - Monday 16th June

PLEASE NOTE:
You must be registered for the workshop to submit an audition.
You can do so HERE

Auditions are completely optional!

Before submitting an audition, we ask that all students - new and returning - please read the FAQs on our website regarding casting for our holiday workshop productions. Whether you're cast in a leading role or as part of the ensemble, every student in the workshop will be actively involved, challenged, and given meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.

If you’d like to be considered for one of the lead or featured roles listed below, please submit an audition. Details about each character and what we’re looking for can be found in the Character Breakdowns section at the bottom of this page. If the character you want to audition for doesn’t have a specific script (audition side), no problem - just choose your favourite one! All roles will be cast gender-neutral. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

How We Cast the Show
We thoughtfully consider every audition (often multiple times) and can usually cast a show in several different ways. If you don’t land a lead role this time, it doesn’t mean you’ve been overlooked or aren’t capable. Casting is based on a few key factors: how well the audition brief was followed, your suitability for the role in terms of singing, acting, and dancing, what role we believe will help you grow the most, and how the overall cast fits together (including practicalities like age and height compatibility). Our goal is always to create a balanced, supportive ensemble where everyone has a chance to shine.

What to Include in Your Audition
Slate (Intro)

Audition Song
Select a song from this Google Folder for the character you would like to audition for. If you don't have a character in mind, just pick your favourite! Please use the BACKING track for your audition, although you can use the SINGALONG track to learn the part.
All auditionees must include a song as part of their audition submission.
Audition Side
Select an audition side from this Google Folder for whichever character you would like to audition for. If you would like to audition for a character who does not have a specific audition side, please just pick your favourite one!
All auditionees must include a slide as part of their audition submission.
Dancing
If you have previous dance training or wish to be considered for the featured dance ensemble (The Jitterbugs), please include a dance segment as part of your audition.
Follow this link and watch, learn and video yourself performing the dance sequence to the best of your ability. Don't stress if you get a few moves wrong!
