Brisbane’s most exciting musical theatre holiday workshop for ages 6 - 16.

From the first read-through to the final curtain call, students rehearse, create and perform a full musical production in just six days. Working with industry-professional teachers, young performers develop skills in singing, acting and stage performance before stepping into the spotlight for two live shows.

 Many of our students are stepping onto a stage for the very first time. 

We specialise in making sure that first experience is joyful, supportive and confidence-building. Our team knows how to guide young performers so they leave the week feeling proud of what they achieved and excited to perform again.

By the time the curtain rises on show day, students who walked in nervous are often the ones taking their bows with huge smiles.

From Script to Stage in Six Days

Musical in a Week is BeXD Create’s signature school holiday program.

Across one incredible week, students experience the full creative journey of putting on a musical. They learn songs and scenes, develop characters, rehearse together as a cast and watch the production come to life.

By the end of the week, the cast performs two fully staged shows for family and friends, complete with lighting, microphones, costumes and sets. It’s fast-paced, creative and incredibly rewarding.

For many students, it becomes the highlight of their school holidays.

A Real Theatre Experience

Students spend the week working closely with their cast and teachers to bring a brand-new production to life.

They experience what it’s really like to rehearse and perform in a theatre production, learning how scenes come together, how microphones and lighting work, and how a cast collaborates to tell a story.

Each student has a meaningful role in the show and is supported to grow at their own pace.

By the time the audience arrives on show day, the cast has created something they never imagined possible in just six days.

Perfect for Beginners and Experienced Performers

Musical in a Week is designed for both brand-new performers and students who already love the stage.

For beginners, it provides a welcoming introduction to musical theatre in an environment where confidence comes first. For experienced students, it offers the chance to develop their skills further while taking on new challenges in a fast-paced creative production.

Auditions for featured roles are optional, and every student is included in the production and supported by the teaching team throughout the week.

The week finishes with two live performances for family and friends.

With microphones, costumes, lighting and a cheering audience, students step on stage and celebrate everything they’ve created together.
