Kenmore Beginner Adult Singing Class

Class Description

Developed by Industry Professionals, designed for beginners. This class is designed for absolute beginners. Maybe you were in a choir in primary school and haven't sung since? Maybe you love to sing around the house but your children tell you to be quiet? Maybe you've been singing for years and wish to grow your confidence and skill in a community? In this intimate singing class you will learn the fundamentals of voice technique, explore your unique voice and we will coach you towards singing songs you’ve only dreamed of singing. In this class you will work intensively on your singing. Working each week individually and as a group as we grow, explore, develop and refine your voice and your confidence. You'll learn about voice types, how to sing confidently in pitch, time and with a great tone, how to look after your voice, singing with power and emotion, and how to tell stories that move an audience through song. This class is best suited for those wanting a balance of individual singing skill development, a singing community and group work where you can actively learn from each other. This class is designed for beginners. If this all sounds great but really scary, please don’t be scared away. You don’t need to be ‘a singer’ to be here. There’s no prerequisites, singing is from everyone. All levels are welcome from first time singers (yes, literally "I've never sung before in my life" singers) to experienced singers. These classes are a welcoming, supportive and safe space to step out of your comfort zone and make mistakes.
