The Workshop! Dates: 26th June - 1st July 2023 Times: 9AM - 4PM each day Where: Pip Theatre, Milton Recommended Ages: 9 - 19 The Show! What are we doing: High School Musical Jr Show Date: 1st July Show Time: 1pm Tickets: https://www.trybooking.com/CIXQE The students will spend 6 days learning songs, practising dance choreography, rehearsing their lines and developing their characters. On Saturday afternoon, students will perform in a full scale performance (we're talking lights, sets, microphones, props and costumes!) of High School Musical Jr for friends, family and general public at Pip Theatre. As we have just 5 days, this will be a very fun and very intensive workshop. We highly encourage your students to attend every day of the workshop so they don’t miss anything. AUDITIONS: Auditions are not mandatory. Students interested in lead roles are asked to register for an audition. Auditions will be held at Kenmore State School Hall 10th June. Audition Brief - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jns-HsZxYIfPMtOlmYxopOYeVtp9s2OY/view?usp=sharing Solo Auditions: Mandatory for students wishing to be considered for the roles of Gabriella, Troy, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, Taylor and Kelsi. In a solo audition, students will be asked to perform a 1 minute audition cut of any Disney Song. They may sing a song from the show. Students will also be provided with a short monologue and dance to learn before the audition. Solo auditionees are encouraged to also attend the Group audition if possible. If they cannot attend the Group audition, they may be asked to present the short dance routine (video tutorial provided) for the panel, depending on which role they are auditioning for. Group Audition: If your child has never been to an audition before, this is a great place to start. In the group audition, students will learn and perform a short dance and song from the show. A dance video will be provided to students beforehand to learn. Students may be asked to perform in small groups but will not be asked to perform alone.
