As she travels through Wonderland, she encounters all of the iconic characters that audiences have come to love: including the ever-tardy White Rabbit, the grinning Cheshire Cat, a cool Caterpillar, the wacky Mad Hatter, and the hot-tempered Queen of Hearts. DATES: 23rd - 28th September 2024 TIMES: Monday - Saturday, 9AM - 4PM WHERE: St Peter's Lutheran College COST: $460 WHO: Ages 6+ (all experience levels welcome) SHOW: Saturday 28th September @ 2PM, followed by pizza party! WHAT TO EXPECT: Students will spend their days working with their scripts, teachers and cast mates to learn lines and develop their characters. We’ll have music rehearsals where students will learn about voice technique, harmonies and projection; dance workshops working with the choreographer to piece together group dance numbers and featured solos; and acting one-on-one's for scene work in the show. The venue hosts many breakout spaces so our team of passionate and experienced teachers can provide optimal learning environments for the different age groups and skill levels in the cast. The teachers also will perform in a special showcase and hold a Q&A session for students about the theatre and music industry during a lunchtime - this is a great opportunity for older students who are interested in a career in the arts to ask any questions. We’ll have morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks daily (food not provided). The show will be on Saturday afternoon at 2pm complete with lights, microphones, sets and costumes. We then invite cast, friends and family to join us for a pizza party in the foyer to debrief after the show. Auditions for lead roles will be announced in the month preceding the performance. TICKETS on sale at the start of the workshop week for family and friends.
