Class Description

4-day ACTING WORKSHOP for STAGE and SCREEN Join us for an unforgettable four-day adventure where students will step into the world of acting and immerse themselves in live theatre and film acting. We'll be rehearsing a short festive play to allow our students to learn stagecraft, voice technique and rehearse lines + we’ll be exploring film acting through self-test and shooting a simple short film together. This program has been developed by Industry Professionals as an introduction to both the tehatre and film world! DATES: 13th - 16th December (Wednesday - Saturday) TIMES: 9 AM - 4 PM each day WHERE: Sherwood COST: $350 WHO: Ages 8+ (all experience levels welcome) SHOW: 16th December at 2PM Led by our experienced teachers, participants will hone their acting skills, bring characters to life, learn about acting for both stage and screen and experience the joy of live performance. What To Expect: - Rehearse and perform in a short play - Acting workshops to develop character skills and stage presence - Receive one-on-one coaching in acting - Collaborate on creating costumes, props and set pieces - Enjoy daily activities that foster creativity, friendship and teamwork - Special sessions in film acting, auditions and self-tests - Record a self-tape for a mock film audition - Special Q&A with our teachers about the world of acting - Shoot a simple short film - Have the opportunity to work both in front and behind the camera Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea breaks each day (please bring your own food).
