5-day ACTING WORKSHOP for STAGE and SCREEN. Join us for an unforgettable five-day adventure where students will step into the world of acting and immerse themselves in live theatre and film acting. We'll be rehearsing a short festive play to allow our students to learn stagecraft, voice technique and rehearse lines + we’ll be exploring film acting through self-tapes and shooting a simple short film together. This program has been developed by Industry Professionals as an introduction to both the theatre and film world! This holiday workshop is predominantly designed for teens interested in the acting, theatre and movie-making industries, recommended for ages 9+. DATES: 16th - 20th December 2024 TIMES: Monday - Friday, 9AM - 4PM WHERE: Indooroopilly - St Andrew's Anglican Church COST: $480 WHO: Ages 9-17 (all experience levels welcome) SHOWCASE: Friday 20th December @ 2PM, followed by pizza party! Led by our experienced teachers, participants will hone their acting skills, bring characters to life, learn about acting for both stage and screen and experience the joy of live performance. What To Expect: - Rehearse and perform in a short play - Workshop sessions to develop character skills and stage presence - Receive one-on-one coaching in acting - Workshop sessions to learn about film set etiquette and roles - Collaborate on creating simple costumes and props - Enjoy daily activities that foster creativity, friendship and teamwork - Special sessions in auditions and self-tests - Record a self-tape for a mock film audition - Shoot a simple short film - Have the opportunity to work both in front and behind the camera We’ll have morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks daily (food not provided). The week will culminate in a showcase on Friday afternoon at 2pm to showcase the theatre and films we have been working on. We then invite students, friends and family to join us for a pizza party to debrief after the week!

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we're committed to making the cancellation process as straightforward as possible. Please review our policy below: Full Refund: You are entitled to a full refund if you cancel your reservation with at least 2 weeks (14 calendar days) written notice before the start of the workshop. Partial Refund: If you cancel less than two weeks but more than one week before the start of the workshop, you will receive a 50% refund of the full workshop price. No Refund: Cancellations made less than one week (7 calendar days) before the start of the workshop will not be eligible for a refund. Additionally, no refunds will be provided for cancellations after the workshop has started or for no-shows. To cancel your enrolment, please send written notice to admin@bexdcreate.com.
